My name will be slarty54. My system is
Thorens 121 it will soon have a 12" hadcock arm, nodded my me with a thin wall titanium tube with tubular carbon fibre lining and will have a supex sdx1000
I have also a technics sl1401 for moving magnets.
Iuse a gcph phono amp into an Integra receiver which copes ok with my Maggie 3.5s
I will detail thorens mods hadcock mods when up and running.

thanks to all for the welcome, but please no envy of glorious sydney weather. We've had 2 weeks of 40+ degree C heat with bushfires. My own temp inside, with no air con is 12 in winter to 40C in summer. I retired my rega 300 with supex 900-1000 &2200 ruby (over the years) because of satisfactory sound from the rega in extreme temperatures. Has anyone else found this? Any way thats why I've resurrected my hadcock with a heavier 12" arm for my thorens td 121.I'm figuring the bearing tolerance will be constant!
 
yes, and i'll never go back to boxes.A bad amp took out one of my tweeters i've managed a temporary repair untill i can pack and ship the ribbons out for repair (expensive).warning the fuse may not protect the ribbon! You need space behind them, lots of, meaning a long room ( mine are 3.6 metres away but have at least 6m behind them. They do sound a bit off when humidity rises, but so do cones! cheers.

Sorry to hear of the heat you've had to endure. and never considered how heat can interfere with gear here. Being in a temperate zone, it has been been a pretty mild winter...but we've got the better part of two months to go, eh?

Sounds like you're having a turn on that TT.(pun not intended) May be time to turf? We DO become attached to our equipment...like having a mistress.:) But a lot cheaper!
