I'm a long time music lover with little to no experience in the way of audio equipment. While I do have a technical background and a pretty good understanding of physics, my knowledge in regard to its application in this particular realm is next to nil. To give you just an example of what I mean, I know full well what an impedance is, but I have no idea what it actually means from a practical point of view when mentioned in a technical specification sheet of a speaker, for instance.
I've been reading a lot on the subject of audio gear recently, and I also tend to ask Google before posting questions in forums, so I hope I won't bore you with stupid questions (at least not too stupid) too often. But, at least at first, it may happen from time to time, for which I can only apologize.
