I am Stefanos from Greece, I love music, my father passed that to me along with a lot of stereo equipment from 70s till 90s. During 2024 I decided to start trying to repair / clean one by one all the stereo which some haven't played for 20 years and more, various Luxman - Akai - Pioneers sx and sa series and more. Having already visited AK forum many years ago, I started again in an almost daily basis reading here and thanks to this forum i found so much information that my "repair" is based on what I read here, since I am not a professional at this. I gained courage for the start and so I am here.
Bought some tools and a lot of Mouser parts and began my journey. The last few years we only had space for a Pioneer sx1050, a thorens td166 mkii paired with Roister status speakers for radio listening and some vinyls. Everything else was sitting at the shelfs either working or not for various forgotten reasons.
The time came for me to introduce myself, I am currently trying to repair our old Sx650, sorry for the long post and thanks again.
