I just joined because I have a Sansui 9090DB on my workbench and I have some questions! I won’t ask them here.
I am and electroincs hobbyist, mostly I’m into jukeboxes but I have also worked on vintage Pioneer receivers and old Magnavox console systems. Basically I know how to solder and am able to recap amps and control centers for my jukeboxes, receivers etc. I am learning how to troubleshoot board level problems related to my equipment, and I have a scope and am re-learning how to use one LOL. I’m a retired (58 age) mechanical engineer and I spent half my career doing mechanical design and half doing electrical control systems including power circuit designs (up to 480V systems) and PLC circuit designs so I’m resonably knowledgable but not really what I’d call an “electronics guy” - yet anyway
So if you’re interested check my post in the Sansui forum….I have something pretty cool I think.
