Scotsman in London who recently thought to himself, 'my life doesn't already have enough money-pit hobbies, so why not get into the vintage audio game?'
I've always loved tinkering with and repairing electronics, mostly 8-bit computers (shout out to any BBC Micro fans), but recently I decided I wanted a half decent audio setup, and thought I should turn my hand to fixing up some old audio gear. Then I fell down the rabbit hole and realised there's so much to learn...
Just bought a semi-working Rotel RA 311 as a kind of 'starter' amp to clean up and learn how this stuff all works. Some decent speakers are next on the list, and then as with all hobbies, there'll be another thing to buy, and another.
Nice to meet everyone and I look forward to learning more from everyone here!
