Hello everyone. I have been spending money on hifi, studio and music related equipment since the late 60's. My interest at the moment it transferring my old 4 track reel to reel tapes to digital and then probably sell the reel to reel - its an original Teac A3340 that I have had from new roughly 1974. I sold my Tannoy Lancaster 15" speakers last year to someone in China as they were not getting used and taking up space and got a very nice price of £2300. I worked in telecoms from the analogue electro mechanical days through to digital, took early retirement and now mainly do music related things - was tour manager for a pop band for a few years, still play bass guitar in a band, rent out small PA systems and love to travel - all over the place from Uffa in Russia to Equatorial Guinea and a very odd country known as America.
Main purpose of joining the forum is to maybe get a little help in servicing the Teac and my old JVC super class A receiver as well as contribute from my experience of good and not so good qualty equipment.

Thanks. Brexit is going very slowly. Many people seem to think it could bring an end to the world - but maybe the new President will do that first!
 
Welcome aboard. There are lots of knowledge folk over in the tape forum that should be able to help with your Teac.
