New user from NJ. Found this forum more or less by accident and realized right away this was a great source for information and guidance so I signed up. In my 50's so I remember how audio was from the 60's and 70's but couldn't affort it then. Recently had been looking to upgrade my "power" from an old JVC integrated receiver and decided to go the vintage route. Some recent acquisitions are Sony tuners ST-3950SD and ST-4950, Kenwood Basic C1 and C2 preamps and an Onkyo M5150 amplifier. Now I'm hooked thanks to realizing what great equipment this is and my son who has been picking up some great older speakers on Craigslist. So thanks for having me and hope to be able to post some pictures when I get the systems cleaned up, repaired and hooked up.

Hello. I'm from central NJ specifically a town called New Egypt. If you've never heard of it, it's about 5 miles west of Great Adventure. Where in NJ are you located?

Did 4 years in N.J.-2 at Picatinny Arsenal, 2 at Ft. Monmouth.
Used to pick up lots of goodies at the Freehold fleamarket.

40 years ago I used to run time-trials at New Egypt Speedway in my modified 1960 Austin Healy Sprite. My dad was a teacher so he got me into the Morris Co Teachers credit union....so I could buy a better car. He was a little chagrined when I got a 65 Mini Coooper S, but he would have been pissed if he knew $500 of it went for a pair of used Quad ESL57s and a 303 pwr amp! Life sure was full of possibility then.

No, don't have a Mustang. Would be nice. Mustangs is the mascot of a school I used to coach for so I kind of took up the nickname. Made it easy when emailing the team and I liked it so I kept it.
