Hi all,
Recently got bit by the audio bug again after many years away. I was happy to find this site with its many sections and knowledgeable members and I'm looking forward to enjoying a past hobby again. I'm not into esoteric, expensive equipment (since I can't afford it anyway!) but I'm looking forward to gaining knowledge in the repair and upkeep of the equipment I do have. I find myself lurking around Craigslist and the nearby Salvation Army thrift store for my treasures and I've been fortunate enough to score some nice vintage equipment.
I currently have an NAD 3020B amplifier in my bedroom connected to a pair of upgraded Minimus 7W speakers and a Polk Audio sub. Very sweet sounding. I also was given a Denon AVR-4802 receiver that is in my living room with a set of JBL 1Xtreme speakers and another Polk sub which does TV and music duties. I'm mostly a stereo guy and not into surround or hometheater setups so the Denon is a bit overkill but it was free!
I also have a set of Boston Acoustics A60s I bought back in college, an original set of Advent Babys, a set of Realistic Nova 6s (a Salvation Army $7 bargain), a JVC RX300 receiver, Sony Str-AV910 Receiver, and a collection of offbeat speakers and components that I like to play around with.
Thanks for listening....
Ron
