Thanks for allowing me to join AudioKarma. I am from Oklahoma City Oklahoma. I am a graduate of NRI Schools. My study was in Microcomputer and Microprocessors. But, that was 20 years ago. While I did have to learn some analog electronics most of the training was in digital electronics. Computers are easy to work on these days as most components are disposable. It quits working you change the card or the board and your done. So this is new for me! I am 54 years old and just acquired 2 Sansui G-5700 Recievers. 1 is a basket case. Knobs missing bent and broken shafts. Tuning string disassembled and tangled F-2980 board removed but, present, missing a transistor. Wires cut off the power supply. 2nd is complete! Powers on but no sound output. It appears at some point someone had either repaired or attempted to repair it at one time. My plan is to get it back up to snuff.

Welcome! I was stationed at Ft.Sill 20 years ago for Marine Corps artillery training. Flat there and a lot of dust
