Hello from outside of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. I have been a guitar player and played in bands for 35+ years. Recently built a guitar amp (all tube, point to point wired) and have been getting more interested in Vinyl. Got my old Realistic turntable out but I am seriously looking at an upgrade. Appreciate all the info and discussion on the forums.

Welcome to AK! And, depending upon which model Realistic TT you have...you may not need to upgrade. They had some pretty fine TTs in their lineup. Post any concerns you may have in our "Turntables" forum and no doubt you'll get excellent advice.
