Hi, I'm Griz, from the Lowcountry of South Carolina, near Savannah Ga. I have washed up on your shores as a result of a gift from a dear friend... a Sansui 9090db which had been doing time in his basement, not being used or appreciated. When it arrived at my house I cleaned up the outside, dug out an old pair of speakers and was soon to learn my first 9090db lesson. Hooked up speakers, plugged in the unit, Pushed The Button and was rewarded with ...protect mode ...:saywhat:. Knowing nothing, I did what I always do, hit the internet, found and downloaded manual, schematics, and service manual. Next I found AK, and knew this was where I needed to be ( Thank you Admin for letting me join. ). Don't have any experience working on electronics, but really looking forward to learning as I go, with a little advice to help me along. first project : fusible resistors r33 and r34 on the driver board. Hopefully that will go well as I have some caps to replace as well.

Welcome! I lived in Savannah for a while. You're in a wonderful area for seafood. Eat lots of. After all, it is called "brain food". You'll be able to figure out what's wrong with your Sansui in no time!:yes:
 
welcome....had a nice 8080...but traded it for some carpentry work...miss that big Sansui...stupid move on my part.
 
Welcome, Griz. I've spent a bit of time down your way and lived in Statesboro and Sylvania back some years past. It was always nice to head toward the coast.
