Hi. Recently joined your esteemed group. I have a few interesting vintage items, some of which need work. Alas I'm not gifted so can't handle fixing things myself. Hoping to get some advice meet folks with similar interests and learn more about the equipment I have.

My mother-in-law is flying to Nanaimo(via Vancouver) later this month for some tour..I have been in your fair city myself some time ago..
If you have any questions or need help,the people here are willing to help.I find AK more useful than our own Canuck Audio Mart..No attitude here..

Agreed, AK is friendlier.
CAM did have "CAAudiocollector", who was refreshing because he was friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. Shame we don't see 'em post these days.
There are those others on CAM with the "gang mentality" who really make it an unwelcome place at times and its a shame. If it's too old, too cheap, or too high end, its "out of their comfort zone".

CAAudioCollector was a rare gem, aloudspeaker designer with a lot of experience and credentials to back it up. Where did he go?

I can't remember if he designed for Avalon but I know he did some ground breaking electrostatic panel design for American companies, yet he seems to prefer to avoid recognition. He was the most intelligent poster over on Canuck, if not one of the best speaker designers ever. If you ever hear one of his speakers, you'll know it.
