Hi there, Here's a long intro 
I have been in and out of this forum for years through web searches and am now devoting more time to my hi-fi setup so I'm naturally riddled with questions that seem to be best answered here... So it was time to join!
For the longest time I used a Marantz SR8500 AV Receiver for my 2 channel setup, paired with B&W 601s, B&W 685's, then B&W 683's. This is the sound I really enjoyed and had tested multiple options at the time through an older friend who had been into hi-fi for years. I sold this setup a few years back before moving.
10 years later I am looking for the next step. I had purchased a Rotel A14 thinking this would be such a great value for the money with no gimmicks involved. This happened to be one of the most characterless, bland sounding amplifiers I had ever heard.. I was really surprised by this... So this brought up many questions. I triend to acclimate the amp over a year and a half and have just happily sold it on eBay. In the meantime (and for the past 3 months) I'm going through a vintage audio period. So now I have collected a few different pieces I have been swapping through...
For receivers / integrated amps:
Marantz 2015
Nikko 9095
Pioneer SA1050 (current favorite, and cheapest!)
For speakers:
B&W 685's
System Audio SA1250's
B&O RL60.2's
Tannoy PBM 6.5's
So I will be posting a few questions soon hoping to gain some clarity in my knowledge and audio
