Help Building La Scala or Belle Speakers

In the last few months, I have been considering building either a La Scala, Belle or other similar horn based speaker. I would be open to other horn speakers builts/designs that forum members think sound better than the La Scala or Bella speakers. I was wondering if any forum members would share their speaker builds with me. This is the first time I have tried to build a horn type speaker and would appreciate any help or guidance. PS- Anyone in the Missouri or Northern Arkansas that build speakers?

The LaScala bass horn isn't too hard to build, nor is the old EV Eliminator bass horn: plans for both are online. If you build the LaScala horn I suggest you add a shelf brace and reflectors in the rear corners, as in the Peavey FH1, a similar bass horn that has a more solid build and better top end extension.

I used home brew LaScala and Eliminator horns and more recently FH1s. I matched the FH1s with Altec 511 horns with various drivers; sometimes Altec and sometimes JBL.

The photo below shows the shelf braces and rear corner reflectors of the FH1. The reflectors eliminate the 90 degree turn and allow higher frequencies to make the turn, thus allowing a higher crossover frequency and the ability to use a wider range of treble horns and drivers. I measured my FH1s as passing frequencies up to 700hz.

Well if you don't have the cabinets or any of the drivers or crossovers already, look more into other horn options and pick one that fits your room as best you can guess going in.
Of those two, I'd say Belles.
