Help diagnosing output issue with Technics SU-V707

For my small home recording studio. I have a rather strange set up where I'm using an old Technics SU-V707 to route instruments to a USB audio interface via the external in/out jacks. The interface sends the signal to a DAW on my pc, and then returns the audio back to the amp/speakers. This allows me to leave everything plugged in and just change the input via the amp's input switch.

This worked great for a while but I ran out of inputs so used an old Fender pa mixer to add a few more inputs for mics and such. That also worked fine, but after removing the Fender pa for an event and reconnecting everything, I noticed one stereo channel wasn't working for instruments plugged into the mixer. A little later neither channel was working. I assumed it was the mixer - if I plug the mixer into another input it doesn't work.,But when I eliminated that possibility by trying other inputs not using the mixer on the amp, they didn't work either. Since the amp still plays audio back from the pc via the interface > external input, it seems to be that the external output isn't sending anything to the interface.

My next step is to try another amp but before I risk frying that too, would like to know if anyone has any experience / insight into what might be happening. I realize the Technics may just be showing its age, but I've had it from new and it wasn't in use for 30 years so doesn't have a lot of miles on it.

Seems unlikely you would have fried the amp, especially if you're not using the speaker outputs (that's I assume correctly what you're doing). I'd check to make sure there's no corrosion on any of the jacks. I'd clean all the controls and the jacks (the outside as well as the center) with some Deoxit. If you reinstall the jumpers between the in/out jacks (you can use a dual RCA cable if you no longer have them) and attempt to play something plugged into the amp's AUX input, does that work properly?
 
Thanks for the reply. I switched a few cables around tonight, and it seems to be fine again. I had checked all connections were snug before so I don't think anything worked loose but that's possible. Other than that, I've no idea what was going on.. All good now though!
