Hi everyone, this is my first post. I’ve been in the hobby for about 11 years and am somewhat knowledgable but I do find my self in the presence of something different or unique every once in a while.

This week while visiting a friend he pulled out a single STEREOLITH PRANGINS CH-1197 speaker. I’m kind of a speaker head, and this seemed very unique. So I made an offer, and packed it home.

I’m entirely unfamiliar with this make/model of speaker. I’ve included a few photos, and am hoping someone may be able to help me find more info on this little speaker(it stands a little over 3ft.)

I would like to find the schematic for the crossover before taking these apart. I’d like to keep the STEREOLITH beacause it pairs so well with my HH Scott 299C. I do believe the xover is in need of service as the L/channel tweeter seems to discharge a static sound.

As to a schematic Stereolith is still in business and looks to have a robust website if it were me I'd go right to the source and contact them directly.

There's a good chance they have that info in their archives.

The only information that they were able to provide via the serial number is that the speaker was manufactured in Sweden.

aparently these are highly sought after in Europe. Never manufactured in the us, and only a handful of international orders were filled at the time.

I love it. It sounds amazing, so much so I retired my DQ10’s! I’d love to keep it in working order. I may end up just taking the xover out and design an equivalent replacement.

Thank you!

Jay off the top I'd concentrate on Switzerland or other European audio forums for the reasons you've commented on already.

Google translate is your friend, there's another whole world out there as I found out when researching Piega speakers
also made in Switzerland ended up buying them.

Do you happen to have a link? I e been looking for a little bit but haven’t been able to find any swiss audio forums.

Thank you!
