Hi everyone -
I'm still on my quest to find the speakers my folks had on our family's 70 vintage Pioneer SS system -- I was browsing around on EPi's website and saw this brouchure with a pic of their line up --

the speaker we had is marked "this speaker right here" it is the speaker with drivers on 2 of the 4 sides of the cabinet.

What model epi's were these?

Thanks a lot! I'd really love to search out a pair of these classic floor speakers --

Reed

Hi:

202s. Did you get a set? I've got a bunch of EPIs here, but most need surround work. The basic 100 module got used in a couple varieties of cabs. I've got the 201s here (back left w/ angled top) and 350s which are the 3 foot tower with 3 modules; 2 side and one top firing (back right??).

Here's a link: EPI

yep that's them -- 202's --

when we moved a few years ago I thought I didn't want anything to do with vintage audio anymore and I sold the pair for $50 to a roving young classic audio enthusiast (this is me --> )

little did I know that a couple months would pass and I would be infected with the bug and regret selling the old stuff

oh well.... the stuff is out there and can be found fairly easily....

if anyone knows of a pair of epi's in the Twin Cities area that are looking for a good home please let me know....

Thanks!
Reed

Too bad you are not closer. I have a pair of the 202's sitting downstairs right now. When I first got mine I thought one of the speakers was blown but it turns out the rubber got stiff as a brick bat on it. 2 others have holes in them and 1 is just fine. After reading some threads I will replace the rubber surrounds with foam as it appears they sound very near as good as they do with fresh rubber.
