So these speakers are available locally, however, the owners has no idea as to what speakers they are, the black ones look interesting and I have request a grill off pic of the brown ones, but can anyone ID these? Looks like the black ones have a mid and table adjustment on it. Thanks everyone.

The black ones look like average rack system type speakers. Nothing special.

The brown ones remind me of some of the Cerwin-Vega D series, but the logo isn't right. I'd check those out.

Could the brown ones be Hartley Zodiac ? I had a pair once... not bad at all Attached is a pic ( Courtesy of CAM )... it's the logo that sparked my memory.

But I may be wrong.

Edit : Nope, their aspect ratio is wrong.... Sorry !

I think I have a pair of the speakers on the right (brown ones) in my closet. They are some fairly cheap house brand with so-so sound quality. Not bad, just kinda "meh". The ones on the left look almost like early eighties era Fisher rack speakers. If you would like to learn how to refoam speakers I would suggest buying these and giving it a go. That way if you mess it up you won't be destroying any speakers of great value.

Thanks everyone, I asked for a pic of the brown one without the cover and he said he could not remove the cover and they only get sound out of one. I am not looking to buy a project at this time, so I’ll pass.

Might be worth asking if he tried to pull on the cloth tabs (top of top speaker, and bottom of bottom speaker). I'm curious.
