Help ID this rack?

Does anyone have any knowledge, or ideas, or impressions about this audio rack/shelving unit currently for sale in my area? Dimensions are: 24"W x 21"D x 58-1/2"H. I've asked the seller to check for nameplate, labels, stickers, etc. Nothing so far

I think the bottom and top composite shelves look sturdy enough to take my amps and the glass ones should do for my players, but I'd hate to make a mistake and buy something that requires hundreds of hours of "break in"...

Like I said, I can't see how my AppleTV or Samsung Blu-ray player or NETGEAR 8-port switch are gonna take out a glass shelf. Currently, everything's held up on 3/16" thick chipboard shelves in a cheesy 30" x 15" x 60" 4-shelf unit, going on 10 years.

Perhaps you may want something else on those glass shelves at some point. I know my gear has undergone a lot of changes over the years.

Good point. Not applicable to me, but the system goes with the house, and the next owner may well wish to change things around. Thanks.

Looks (to me) like a re-purposed store display rack and not a purpose built audio rack.
As a result I suspect you're going to have a hard time coming up with a brand name for it.
And I'm with motorstereo,no glass shelves for me,ever.

There are some nice budget oriented audio racks out there,and if one is patient they might even catch 'em on sale.
Me,,,I'd take a pass on this one...

If you like it, could make replacement shelves for glass. Possibly 1/2" MDF and spray black. Or make shelves of polycarbonate (Lexan, is one brand)It would bend but unlikely break. If hardware looks sturdy.

Thanks, gents. I was looking for a proper rack, not a jury rigged store display nor a project (got plenty of 'em) nor a disaster in waiting (got more than my share of those, too), especially when I'm expected to pay for the privilege. The group is right on: PASS.
