I have been looking for a pair of speakers for a long time but I never what speaker manufacturer made them. I think I have found them but I cannot make out the speaker logo. I hope someone can identify them and let me know if it is a good speaker or junk.
I have drawn a black square around them as there is a lot of speakers in the pic. Not the best pic but it is all I have to work with.

Thanks

Dang, not too sure on those, But pretty sure I see a pair of hitachis to the right of them.

Since you can't make out the logo, what tells you those are the speakers you're looking for?

In fact, tell all you know about the speakers you're looking for, and what you like about them....

Sound Dynamics 12S :scratch2:

Wow. You guys nailed it. Thank you. I recall the outer metal casing for the tweeter. I remember going to my uncles house when I was quite young. He never played them loud because the foam surrounds were shot. They were big considering I was a small lad. I have always wondered what those speakers would sound like if my uncle had the surrounds fixed. I was to young to remember what the logo meant.

There isn't much info out there about this speaker. I just know it is a sister company of EPI/energy

Not E.P.I. I think they may have been one of the lines that came out of the same factory as Audiosphere Research. The tweeters are sought after as a replacement alternative for the ones used in the Energy reference 22's.

I don't think those are the same as the ones in the OP's picture, The grills appear to go most of the way, then chamfer near the top, not cut off like these do.

And those ones to the right are so hitachi HS-480.
Wonder what other ones we can pick out...

Is that the guy in Mission? Sound Dynamics speakers are an acquired taste. Very well-made. The whole line has excellent bass response and dynamics. They are great rock speakers. The tweeter is a bit bright, but detailed. It depends on the type of sound you enjoy. If you like exciting sound these are your speakers. I'd listen carefully to them before you make a decision.

I picked these speakers up and I am very impressed. Excellent highs and lows but mids do lack. The tweeter can be adjusted for frequency response. At low volumes they sound nice but not detailed. Turn the volume up and they can pump with rock and today's music. they remind me of CV speakers but better on the high end. I only picked these up because my uncle use to own a pair when I was young.I Was never able to turn his speakers up but now I can.
