Help identify Mission and unknown speakers

Hi,

I have a Mission speaker, which very much like a 732 but is bi-amped. Another one is like a Cambridge Sound Works subwoofer (like a Ensemble IV but wiring posts are at the bottom). Please help.

Have you tried Google Image Search? While AK is a great resource a simple Google image search is gonna be a lot quicker then waiting for others to chime in.

I just did one for the Missions and I was immediately able to get a match, I did the same for the pics in your other Mission identification thread and within seconds a definitive result.

Give it a try and let us know what you find out

Hi,

I did a google image search before posting the message. I input "Mission speaker, bi-amped" and got a lot pictures but no one matched my speaker. I did the same thing with "Cambridge Sound Works, subwoofer" but to no avail as well. Yesterday, though, I did find DCM 10A (or 12A) when I saw a pair DCM big speakers with no model numbers, by searching "DCM 3 way speakers".

I am wondering which kind of keywords you used for image search. It seems that is the key.

Sounds like you might have an early Mission 732 variant that used optional bi‑amping, since Mission mixed and matched features in that era. The other box really does line up with a Cambridge Sound Works Ensemble IV bass module, especially with the binding posts low on the cabinet. If you’ve got photos, tossing them into something like Facial Recognition Search can sometimes help surface look‑alike listings or old catalog shots.
 
The Mission 731 was made in a single-wire version and a bi-wire version with silk dome tweeter.
You have the last one. Good speaker for that format. I had them too.
