Help identify this capacitor

I'm in the process of replacing the largest caps on an Altec 704 receiver . I removed this capacitor from the amp board and it's a 2200uf 63v cap . It has four pins that was soldered to the board . I can't seem to find it with my usual sources . Who has these 4 pin capacitors ? All I'm finding are the two pin type . What's the proper name of this type capacitor ? That will probably help me locate the replacement cap . Help appreciated . Thanks

the extra pins are for support . i don't think those 4 pin ones are easy to find the days ..however it should be just fine with 2 pins only .
it clearly says on the capacitor which pin is which .

Panasonics and Vishay come to mind.

This Capacitor has two "live" leads Negative (Black marking) and B (+) with A & C extra pseudo leads to attach to the circuit board only for attachment purposes. Check the circuit board and you should see the attachment points for A & C are just solder pads with no circuit connections. Check out the leads as I am not sure if the lead marked with the black paint is for positive or negative.

A replacement with just two leads can be glued to the PCB. Check out the schematic and you should be OK.

......and to be discontinued soon, as a lot of stuff.

Lately I needed a few specific size screw terminal cap at work (it is sitting inside some switching supply connected to big copper rails) .
It used to be a standard size. I found nothing at Mouser nor RS nor Digikey, and we bought the very last 22 of them at Farnell.
This is how it goes, you buy parts, 5 years later you want to buy the same but they are gone....

Yep. **** happens and you move on to "plan B ":D

Panasonic is downsizing big time. Lots of panny items being discontinued.

Good find on those caps! Good price. Might stock up on a couple.

4-pin ECET panny's. These are 80mm in length and 40mm in diameter. should be the same footprint as your UCC's.

That's a huge increase in capacitance X10, you may have to do some work to the board to make sure they are safe. jumping from 2,200uF ==>> 22,000uF may cause some stress.

These are a little closer but still an increase.

They do have some 2,200Uf caps, and slightly larger, rated @ 200V

It's the 22.5mm pin spacing you are looking for.

Good catch..I misread the cap.I thought I was looking for a 22000 replacement. Oops. Guess I need to schedule another eye exam.:D
