help identifying (and troubleshooting) a mystery magnavox cabinet

Hi, all!

So I'm new to this community, and I hate my first post being a request for help, but I'm stumped. I picked up this cab (http://imgur.com/a/I9AyNRX) at a thrift store this past Friday in hopes of restoring it. The turntable was seized and (the store claimed) audio was only coming from one side. Some TLC later and both issues are resolved, but here's my problems:

1- I can't find a model number on this thing, and several days of Googling have yielded nothing. So does anyone have any clue what this thing might be?

2- the turntable is spinning and i hear the noise from the stylus in the grooves, but I'm getting no audio from the turntable except for a steady hum. The stereo works fine, so I suspect it is a turntable or wiring issue. I have no idea where to start, but I'm not afraid of some DIY work. I'm more afraid of moving this cabinet again, tbh. Any tips at all would be much appreciated!

This video shows a restoration (of sorts) of a Zenith stereo system that uses the same record changer mechanism as your Magnavox. (Not sure who actually made it... maybe Matsushita/Panasonic?) Maybe it will help you.

Thanks so much! It's alive and sounds beautiful. Now I just have to figure out how to get the gunked up autoreturn mechanism to loosen up- it has apparently decide that the last track on any given record shouldn't be played.

The mechanism probably has old grease that has gone sticky with age. I had the same problem with a BSR turntable -- when it got towards the end of a record it would start skipping because the auto-return mechanism was too stiff for it to engage. Carefully disassembling the mechanism, cleaning out the old grease, and relubricating it with new white lithium grease brought it back to perfect operation.

That sounds exactly like my problem. How difficult was it to disassemble the mechanism?
