I need help identifying a board inside of a mc 4100 and wondered if someone might assist me in identifying it. There are a few components. (ie resistors, inductors, transistors) that have obviously overheated and I have a service manual but the board number does not match any of them in the manual. I am submitting some photos to assist , and appreciate a schematic of the board or help with identification of the specific overheated part. This particular board is fastened to a heat sink, there is an identical board next to it also with heat sink attached with the identical part overheated there. thanks in advance

If you have 2 board attached to heat sinks with connections to the bigger silver things on the sink, then you're dealing with the driver boards of the MC4100 - I assume this is a McIntosh unit, right?
Yes, there has been some heating of the component judging from the discoloration.
What is not clear is what, exactly, is causing the concern. Did the amp fail in some way? If so, what are the symptoms? Next, do you have a voltmeter and know how to use it? Lastly, can you post a scan of the schematic you are working with? This will help other armchair bench techs to help you.
