Help Identifying Nagaoka Cartridge

I had picked up this cartridge a couple years ago at a yard sale. Our fellow AK members helped me identify it as a Nagaoka & I replaced the stylus just to be safe. The stylus is now exhibiting a fair amount of sibilance. Unfortunately the identifying markers on the original stylus that helped identify the make & model number aren't on the replacement so I was hoping someone here will recognize the model. The headshell & body are one molded piece. The small writing that appears at the bottom in one of the pics only says Made In Japan & Cartridge. It's a pretty nice sounding piece so I'd like to replace the stylus & keep it in rotation. Thanks in advance for any help identifying this model.

That looks exactly like my Nagatron 195IE, except mine still has the original orange stylus assembly. I think I've seen generic stylii for this cart in black like the one you have. The original stylus has the Nagatron logo and the model number on the front.
 
Yeah, I was going to say either the 185e or 195e (same motor I think?). AFAIK the difference is/was that the 185 was standard 1/2" mount and the 195 was a built-in premounted cartridge. My bud has one very much like that one. I have the 185 :)

If that's the case, it's not a bad utility cartridge :)
 
Thanks for the replies. It probably is Nagatron & I had it confused with Nagaoka. All the replacement styli that have shown up so far are conical. Do any of you know if there might be an eliptical version around somewhere? If that would end up upgrading the performance of this cartridge it would be worth checking out. Thanks again.

If I paid only $1 for a cartridge, that would just leave me more money to spend on a stylus, not restrict how much I would spend on it. If someone gave me an LP12 for $1, I would certainly be willing to spend 9800% of that on a cartridge for it.

I've got the leaflet that came with the 195IE; i could give it a scan if y'all would like a copy. I bought mine new-old-stock and haven't used it, as it is set at 49mm headshell length and i tend to run Technics which need a longer length.

The four models that shared the same engine (an induced magnetic design) are
165S (spherical 1/2 inch mount)
175IS (spherical integrated headshell)
185E (elliptical 1/2 inch mount)
195IE (elliptical integrated headshell)

As far as the Nagaoka/Nagatron confusion, Nagatron was an American company that imported in cartridges made for them in Japan by Nagaoka, so there was a relationship between the two, beyond having similar names.

Yeah, I thought as much. The 195 is on a buddies Pioneer TT so it's a perfect fit :) Will work well on some JVC's too.
