Help identifying speakers, please!

I just picked these up at a thrift store for 40 bucks. I am wondering, lack of identifying marks or plates, what manufacturer and are they worth the 40 bucks? These are in good condition as far as I can see and they sound pretty good and pretty heavy!

Vifa tweeter. Not sure on woofer maker. Look like quality drivers.

The sonys I have, and have seen, are white but yellow with age.

i think yamaha uses that type of binding post plate

They are not Sony. The line that had the yellow woven fiberglass cones (ES I believe) were tear drop shaped. The other line didn't have that good a tweeter.

The drivers look incredibly similar to KRK's, but the box's are not KRK, so maybe not.

If they sound good to you that's all that matters who cares what they might be worth

Sounding good is all a speaker needs to do, so long as WAF isn't an issue. If you're really curious as to origins pull one of the woofers to see what identification may be visible on the back side.
