I bought a couple of used JansZen Dynamic speakers at an estate sale recently. I didn't know much about JansZen, but I did know that they have a pretty good name and given the current speakers I am using, it wouldn't take much for an upgrade. I did not get a chance to look them over before buying them, but they were cheap enough ($5 for the pair) that it didn't really matter.
Once home, I noticed that they were JansZen Dynamic speakers and not JansZen Electrostatics. Aside from the JansZen badge on the fabric cover, there is no identifying information anywhere on the speakers. I emailed JansZen Audio, but they knew nothing about them.
The speakers need to be refoamed, but I'm not sure if they are even worth the time and money to do this. I also don't know whether there are any other issues inside that may be need to be addressed. Finally, I don't know what their wattage or impedance are, so I don't know if they will work with my amplifier.
Does anybody recognize these? Are they worth fixing, or are they garbage?
Thanks
Edited: I don't know whether the pictures are showing up. If not, I have uploaded them to imgur: https://imgur.com/a/XCzef
Edited again to add the pictures that I tried to add the first time.
