help: lost track of a couple of threads...

Guys, I think I'm getting nuts: I thought I had recently seen a couple of threads here, in which a member, whose handle I unfortunately can't recall, had posted spectrum diagrams of various musical intruments. I've already tried both the AK search and Google with various search terms, but so far I couldn't dig these threads up anymore... *sigh*

So if one of you could point me to these threads, that would be a relief.

I saw that thread too but I can't find it either after a brief search using the term 'instruments'.
 
I hate when that happens.
I know I saw something and then can't find it.
I think it was around 3 months ago those were posted.

I'm thinking it might have been something posted by Retrovert. He's always coming up with cool stuff like what you're describing. And I do remember the thread you are referring to,but that's all. My memory ain't what it used to be,sorry:(

And yup, it was definitely one of the members, who I associate with profound posts, but I just don't remember who exactly it was...

It was less than three months ago too. More like two weeks when I saw it. Maybe the thread was that old but it was posted to much more recently.
 
tc: Both might be true, as it was a series of threads (or at least I'm pretty sure it was...).


ls: Thanks, but I already know that diagram, and while a nice overview, I'm instead really looking for spectrum graphs of various recorded instruments, because what I'd currently be curious about would be the levels of the harmonics.
