Help! Marantz 2230 Phono / no sound

Hello ,
my friend gave me his Marantz so that I would go through everything and check if I can fix a phono which I can not without some help from my friends

There is no sound at all and when the 2230 volume is on max then i can hear some whitenoise with high treble in the music but very very weak and low volume.



35+VDC is ok but i see that someone before he bought this Marantz 2230 messed around with a P700 phonoboard.

Can someone provide some information list of components how to total recap p700 ?


Can i put C2240 istead of all other transistors ?

Is B-C-E OK on the pictures ?

It looks like you have some transistors in backwards. KSC1845 FTA are a god sub for H705 and H706, and will work for H701, 2 3 and 4. Install them so the flat on the transistor body aligns with the flat on the silk screen.

Should i reverse the pins on all of them if i use 2SC2240BL ?
2SC2240BL seems to be 1 . Emitter 2. Collector 3. Base .

Ok i´ll do that . I thought that the 2SC2240BL should be reversed from the silk screen . So someone soldered them all 2SC2240BL wrong on mine pictures.

Should 2SC2240BL on C458 place be installed like that ?

The 2SC2240BLs that replace the 2SC458s are installed to match the silk screen on the board, just like in the picture.
