Help matching at20ss with a DX4200

I have an AT20SS cartridge and a Soundcraftsmen Pre-Amp with the dip switches in the back for matching the capacitance of the cartridge. The book for the AT20SS shows that the inductance is 450 mh. The back of the 4200 is looking for a capacitance value in pf. I'm not finding the pf value for this cartridge anywhere. Does anyone here know? Should I putz with it and see what sounds good? Thanks!

AT recommends 100-200pf per channel for their cartridges. It helps to know the capacitance of your cables. What tt are you using? If it has soldered-in cables, are they original or did you replace them? Or is it a tt with removable interconnects? I usually estimate 35-50pf for the tonearm wire. Add the cable and tonearm wire (per channel) and you usually don't need to add any additional capacitance in the preamp. Excessive capacitance will diminish the high end, but no amount will damage anything, so it ends up a matter of what sounds best to you.
