I have the chance to buy some used speakers, all in exc condition (not from the same store though).
Primary use is music, 2.0 for now, probably add a sub later. No HT, etc.
These are all about the same price, ~600. Not listed in order of preference.
1) Sonus Faber Concertino (original version; w/stands + cables)
2) Sonus Faber Concerto
3) ATC SCM 11
4) Snell K5 (with stands; these are actually cheaper, ~375)
I have not heard the ATC or Snell, but the ATC especially get exc. reviews. I have heard Sonus Faber Concerto or Concertino (I can't remember) some years ago, and they sounded great. Real audiophile owner.
New options which I have heard are PSB Image B6, ~ 600 and Tannoy Revolution DC6 (which I slightly preferred but I think too m uch at ~1000.
New options I have not heard but get great reviews are Aperion VGB and Ascend Sierra-1.
I'm more interested in the used speakers as the 2 Sonus and the ATC retail new for significantly more than any of the others, and cost less than any of the new ones.
Any recommendations from this list?
Thanks.
