Help me downgrade my system (amplification)

Hmmm, I don't have ANY experience with them, but the various Peachtree offerings look very nice and review well.

I have two systems with one of these being what I would take as a downsized system if I had to move to a smaller space. I am running a stereo receiver from Outlaw Audio RR2160. It is 110 wpc @ 0.05 % THD. Sound is very much like a vintage Marantz or Pioneer (70's) but has a wider range and cleaner high end. It has digital inputs, sub outputs with sub controls and a remote. Best part is that it is under $1k. Don't want to sound like a salesman (and I am not one) but I have been really happy with this receiver and it would be my choice if I had to downsize from my larger system.

We have an NAD 320BEE integrated in a small office system powering a pair of Dynaudio two ways. If I was looking to do what you’re trying I’d start with NAD.

Rogue Sphinx, used. Class D/12au7 tubes (2) pre. Tubes seem to have good life. 100 wpc@8 ohms, 200wpc@4ohms. Sub out. Remote. Only RCA inputs. No tone controls. Black or silver faced. Good reviews.

That’s unfortunate, maybe I will pass on that guy then. Too bad, it's a handsome fella. Where did you find the pics of the inside? Those specs are pretty abysmal as well. Pass.

I'll find something eventually. Will probably just have to keep perusing the used market.

I purchased a Teac AI-301da because my wife wanted a mini system with Bluetooth connectivity. It looks to be the same power as the 501 listed above, 22w. I will say that this little guy has blown me away. I would never have looked a piece like this if it hadn’t been for my wife looking something the would be out of the way. I have a Yamaha Piano Craft series integrated and that was still too big.

In my main rig I’m running a Sony 9000es pre and cycle between a rebuilt HK Citation 19 and a Denon POA-2800, something like 100w and 200w so have a little power.

The Teac has been able to drive any speakers I’ve hooked to quite loud levels while staying very clean. Bass response seems very decent, but I’ve always run a sub. None of the speakers I’ve used have anywhere near the efficiency of your Klipsch so I’d think you’d be okay. I’ve always read good things about the ICE chips and I’d have to agree. I wouldn’t count them out just yet.

Are you open to used?

Absolutely open to used, in fact I'd prefer to not pay the new premium.

Right now, the Peachtree Nova 150 is looking like a very worthy candidate. More than adequate power with plenty of inputs and outputs.

I agree completely. I bought it as a temporary solution which has become permanent for the reasons stated above. 30 day trial makes it almost a no brainer.

Thank you for all the suggestions. I actually ended up staying in the W4S family and picked up their mini integrated amp (mInt). It offers many of the same features I already have, in particular outputs for a subwoofer. Curious to hear how it compares to the separates.

Just finished dusting off the rack and installing the mInt. This is a fantastic piece of equipment that punches way over it's weight. I'm thrilled with what I am hearing, and don't feel like I have downgraded at all. Through better speakers that may be different, but to my ears this is audio bliss :) Thank you all for your advice and suggestions!
