help me figger out which drivers to use!!

gentilhommes et madames-- for your curiosity and viewing pleasure, shrinkboy, with the kind, able, and highly informed assistance of paul c, has completed the 'project' on view here: a set of hgih quality, home brew book shelf speakers.
to review, it began as a set of raw, semi finished cabs made of 1" MDF, ported, and cut for 4" woofers. i picked them up from an audio meeting at russman's ....
the original post was for some help on deciding on drivers and x-overs. member extraordinaire, paul c, leapt to the fore, with not only detailed recommendations, but also schematics, graphs, charts, parts lists, etc and an offer to construct the x-overs if i sent him the parts, which i did.
he turned the crossovers around almost immediately, which i photographed and stored in a laptop that i subsequently DROPPED !! (SOB).
as you can see, i finished the cabs with two coats of kilz, sanding in between, then sprayed with coats of krylon gloss black. having ordered the wrong input connectors, i had to reorder to get connectors with a threaded post long enough to get inside the thick walls of the cabs.
too eager to wait for these, i mounted up x-overs and drivers. (4" Tang Band from PartsExpress, and Peerless Silk Dome Tweets from the auction site for $17). from the data paul had on the woofs, and from what i sent him on the tweets, he constructed a superb x-over which i glued into the upper left hand corner of each cab. paul carefully labeled each wire so as to make sure that Mr. DIY-not got everything in correctly. i must express my thanks to paul for his guidance and encouragement. i mean really. above and beyond the call and in the spirit of AK if ever there was such thing.
set 'em up on the HT rig, which includes an Echowars rehabbed and modded Pioneer SX-780 (clean highs, PUNCHY bass) and a JBL subwoofer.
so far, i have listened to some downbeat electronica (lots of bass, high hat, tinkling, floating keyboards) and The Shield DVD (voices, gunfire, explosions, music) and they are superb. magic, solid soundstage, voices coming from points in space. the Peerless tweets really do high hats and cymbals well. still gotta do some strings, female vocalists, etc.
but i am super happy with the results. see for your selves...

as you can see, i ran the input wires out the port to connect directly to speaker wire until the correct binding posts arrive.

You're very welcome! It was a real pleasure working with you on this.
BTW, Shrinkboy provided exactly the parts I specified so it was easy to construct the crossovers. I didn't have to order anything. The only addition I made was to add some push on connectors for his speaker lugs. I normally solder to the speaker lugs, but since he was new at this, and would possibly be going into the speakers a few more times I thought the push on connectors would be convenient for him.
Hey, Shrink! About appearance, I wouldn't even put grills on them unless you have small children. They look great!

hey, guys-- i am bumping this because i FINISHED A PROJECT!! nothing to get excited about for all you DIY'ers out there, wardsweb, and all you others who know who you are, but you don't know how DIY impaired the shrinkboy is...and it has pix!! another first if any of you read my grim struggle to figure out how to upload...
