Help me finish these boxes.

I can't get D123 to play worth a whit in 2.0 cuft insofar as bass response is concerned using modeling software:

Closed box, F10 is ~48 Hz (Green).

Lowest I can get it vented is ~40 Hz. Red is BB6P's recommended 48 Hz tuning, blue is 34 Hz. I've had to derate the power handling by half to 25 watts due to excursion limits.

Let's not pretend the D123's "Extended-range" actually extends into VHF, either. It'll still need a tweeter.

Use 123A-x or LE14A plus PT waveguide and BMS HF. Both of those woofers have Aquaplas mass added for extended bass response in small enclosures like this, but you really need compression driver HF with these; few conventional tweeters will play low enough to blend well with them (1.0 - 1.5 kHz).

Another JBL candidate is 128H(-1) which will play down to 29 Hz (Violet, second graph below, 2.0 cuft tuned to 30 Hz,) if you're willing to take the hit in efficiency. It's a 91.5 dB driver.

Again, I'm just clicking buttons here. Anyone can do the same using the free WinISD download. These drivers and many more are in the database that comes with. New drivers, you key in the T/S parameters to your own driver file....
