Help me identify this tonearm

Hello lads,
I hope you sharp eyed vinyl boys can identify this tonearm for me.
It was spotted mounted on an Empire 398 turntable, and it was a direct drop in for the Empire.
That, and it looks so damm sexy with that stylizes S curve to the pivot.
If you know what it is, could you offer an opinion as to it's quality and sound?
any help would appreciated.

Looks very much like a Pioneer arm -- can't remember the table its off, but that swoopy casting, and the donut pivot block are Pioneer all the way in my opinion.

It's from a Pioneer PL-61.

Thanks for the ID, do you know much about the performance and quality of this arm? I would like to try one on my Empire, in cosmetics and design, this arm looks like it was made for the Empire.

So I would like to know well it performs.

I've never heard it, but it was one of a kind--made only for the unique PL-61--a total coincidence that it fits the Empire. I'm sure it's better than average. But I doubt you'll find just the arm for sale by itself, and to be honest, if I found a PL-61 I'd never destroy it for the arm--I'd keep it as is. They are rare and very cool tables.
