I recently bought my first house, and negotiated to keep the prior owners' deceased husband's loudspeakers. The setup is something I've never seen before: a pair of ADS L620's, but with a pair of ADS 200C's resting on top. I'm curious why that might be? To fill out the midrange?
I've just purchased a Bluesound Powernode to power them (I know that's not ideal, but I'm on a very tight budget now and was able to score one for $700), along with a REL T/5 to add some low end. When that arrives, I'll know how it sounds. But I also realized that I have no idea how to connect two speakers to the same amp. Or if that's even advisable. What do y'all think?
Any guidance to a newbie would be greatly appreciated. My other setup is a pair of Acoustic Research AR-2AX's connected to a tv, powered by a Yamaha RX-A760 home theater receiver, which I absolutely love.
