Help! My 9090db just turned off while it was playing.

If they were open, replacing them will fix your problem.

I'm having to rely solely on AI for this so I'm glad you're here with some actual hands-on experience with these things. I've used AI for a number of projects that turned out great. Every now and then it sends me in circles, or makes a small mistake, so I know it's far from perfect. From what I understand, those are 180ohm resistors. They both measured 8.28, and 8.43. I have no idea what that means. It was suggested that I replace them. I have replaced R33, R34, R41, and R42 which were also bad. Not OL but bad reading. No change after replacing those. Also, I'm using a multimeter for all of this.

The resistors I'm talking about are 1 ohm and are on the power supply board, not the driver board. I also think they are one watt so they are noticeably larger than most resistors. Later production units they were replaced with fuses.

Okay. I think I may be better off getting the blueprint, or diagram with the correct resistor ratings for the F-2656 and really test and find out what I need. I'm getting a little concerned that AI is going to take me down that long road to who knows where. Do you know of a source that I could get a copy of the diagrams for these boards? I feel like I have seen it somewhere along the way, I'm not sure where. I just asked AI which resistors were 1ohm on the power board. The response was R01, and R02. See what I mean? Please let me know where I can look up and find all of the correct values.
Thanks again for your help.

AI is just repeating what it finds on the internet. It's not doing any real diagnosis.

I understand that. It was all I had having no experience with this project. I found the complete service manual, and schematics. I'll be doing a lot of reading for awhile. Hopefully I can get this thing up and running with the correct parts soon.

I received my parts today and I'm happy to report that I'm back up and running. Thank you to everyone who replied and were willing to help. I'm going to list the parts that I replaced just in case it may be of any help to someone in the future. Really just resistors but here they are:
Driver board F-2624:
R33,R34,R35,R36,R41,R42,R47,R48 R33,R34,R41,R42 were the only one that were bad. I replaced the others based on a recommendation.

Power supply board F-2656:
R30,R31,R32 R30,R31 were the only ones bad. I replaced the other one based on a recommendation.

Thanks again everybody!
Karen
