Help needed for Magnavox 8301-10

Hi all, been a while since I last posted, retirement has kept me busy ! I have restored and fixed quite a few amps including the likes of fisher 500c etc.

I have a simple amp a Magnavox 8301-10 (I have fully recapped it , and installed new tubes) that has the volume, bass and treble controls attached but unfortunately the schematic I have does not show this part of the amp.

Without tubes all the voltages and resistances check out but with tubes in the 6eu7 has normal voltage on pin 6 but pin 7 voltage is low and goes up and down if I turn the bass control. This amp has one of those clay like packages that has 5 terminals connected across the bass control and it has been described here as a tone defeat.

I have made up one of these type of circuits when they appear in the schematic but it is not shown on mine. I am asking how to repair or remove this section or what could be causing this voltage drop if this is not the problem. I also can't get a signal through one channel. All help appreciated !!

Hopefully the schematics in post #19 in the link below can help
