Hello all! I'm restoring this Pioneer turntable and I've run into an issue that I cannot seem to get fixed. Whenever the music starts playing, one audio channel starts before the other. The same problem arises when the music should stop, one channel gets muted before the other does.
This turntable has a mechanical switch for each channel that shorts the audio signal to ground before the needle is dropped or removed from the record. I've cleaned it, but to no avail.
Has anyone had this problem before? Or could anyone point me in the right direction? I'd appreciate it alot. Thank you for your time!
Also, the strobe light seems to flicker at startup for a minute or so, although I feel like it just needs a new light since it is only connected to mains and a resistor + capacitor.
I don't think the issue lies here but just for your understanding: The capacitors have been replaced, as well as a faulty transistor in the power supply. I'm looking to replace the VD1222 and VD1122 diodes since these are failure prone as far i understand. The foam that is often deteriated for the auto return function is replaced as well.
