Help paring receiver with speakers

Hi all

I have a Technics SL D2 turntable and KEF Carina II speakers. I'm looking into either a Yamaha CR 620 or a NAD 7175 PE receiver. Which would you recommend as the better sounding paring?

There's also a pair of Advent speakers I could maybe get. Would the Advents pair much better with either receiver than the KEFs?
