Help please with 4240 lamps?

I wanted to order a set of lights/lamps for my 4240.

Any suggested sellers?

Also do any of the lights on the panel require soldering or are they all fuse like lights that pop into place?

I checked youtube but saw nothing for this model; never did this before and want to do it right.

Thanks for any help and suggestions to ease the pain of the first time installation!

You can get them from AK member 'Runningdog' (Randy). I just did. Dial lamps are fuse and indicator lamps are solder ins. I went with LED.

I have not soldered in lamps so if it is required for the 4240 I probably cannot proceed. I thought some Marantz models had all lamps?

They do have all lamps.....like wurlyman said all the indicator lights are soldered in. Are you just referring to the fuse lamp style as lamps? Just go on eBay and search Marantz 4240 complete LED and you'll see.

The indicator lamps can be very tricky. The lamp holder has to be released so you can work on it, the dial cord has to be protected (I did it with a sheet of foil) and you have to be very careful working near the pointer. Cautious as I was I still hit the tip of the pointer with the iron and put a little curve in it. I straightened it the same way by hitting the reverse side and got very lucky!

All Marantz function indicator lamps are bi-pin soldered in (with very few exceptions).
The only snap-in lamps are the "fuse style" for the dial and meter illumination.
