Help! Sony PS-X600 - Platter won't spin!

Well, I had a great evening! I decided to take it apart again tonight, and then just put it back together in case there was a seating problem with the internal interconnect cables. I put it back together, zeroed the arm, and pressed start, and voila! We have ignition!

I've already played a few albums and I'm really impressed by this tables ability to track even with heavy vibrations!

I have an older house with squeaky floors and that has been a turntable issue. I've had more than a few tables leave the house because I wasn't impressed with how they skipped when walking around. The best up to now has been my B&O 4002. But this Sony is unshakeable! I started off slowly, but eventually I was jumping up and down right beside the table and it wasn't concerned at all! It just kept on playing with no distortion I heard! Wow!

What did you do to zero the arm? I took mine apart then put it back together. It played for about 15 minutes then the motor just stopped, again. Ideas?

I had a similar experience with my PS-X600, ran great for several years but eventually the platter froze up and would not spin...the above photo was found on a teardown report and I realized you could remove the magnet/spindle assembly and apply some PB Blaster to break up the lube in actual bearing/ball found inside there. Once that was done my platter moved freely and the turntable was back in business.
