HELP! Speaker Not Connecting

Hi, I am currently trying to connect my Thonet & Vander HochBT speakers to my Technics SA-500 receiver I recently bought. It has been sitting in my upstairs set up which is a bit more low end than my downstairs and have been keeping it there for the time being. I am now trying to connect the receiver to my downstairs set up and I'm having a little trouble. The left speaker won't connect but my right speaker connects just fine. I don't think it's an issue with the equipment as my speakers work just fine with my turntable and when using the bluetooth function, and the SA-500 works just fine with my upstairs speakers. I am pretty new to the world of audio equipment, only 19-years-old, so I'm hoping for a little guidance. Thanks in advance!

What do you mean by won't connect? Physically, or electrically? And have you checked the connections at the speaker side?

Electrically. The left speaker does not play music while the right one does.

Upon further research, I believe it is because my speakers are powered speakers and apparently you cannot traditionally connect stereo receivers with powered speakers. That's as far as I have progressed. Previously, the left speaker would connect but play the audio very quietly, now it does not play audio at all, I'm pretty sure it doesn't even connect at all.
 
What kind of speakers are these. Name and model number.

Opps ... I see that in your first line of your post.

If the Technics receiver has a pre out RCA jack, you can connect your powered speakers to those. That will allow the Technics to control the volume.

Yep, exactly what I did when I began, but the issue still presented itself for whatever reason.

So obviously, now the question is: is it a Technics pre-out problem, or a speaker input problem.

An iPod or phone out to the speakers, through the headphone output jack, or the Technics pre-out to an external amp and speakers, will tell you what you need to know.

I guess it could be a cable issue as well, one more thing to check...

The stock photos I looked at show no pre out jacks on SA-500.

Post a picture of the cable (or cables) you are using for the connection of the speakers. Show the cables disconnected so we can see the type of plugs.

Additionally, post pictures of the connections you are using on the speakers and.on the SA-500.

From pics I can find it looks like you input to the speakers with rca, 1/8th inch, or use bluetooth. Then you connect the speaker with the amp to the second speaker using the spring clips and standard speaker wire.
 
Apparently, my left speaker fuse is blown out, must've done something wrong while trying to figure it out. The instructions on the back of the receiver say it needs to be replaced only with xbas1a5001 fuses. Will post link to fuses on Amazon. My next question is, do they have to be these same exact ones? From what I can tell so far, those exact fuses are pretty hard to find, can't seem to find them anywhere on the internet besides Amazon. Just wanna know if there are any alternatives that are compatible with my receiver that I can find anywhere on short notice, like Walmart, Home Depot, so forth.
 
I hesitate to offer advice that is based on very little knowledge, but it appears that it is a 5 amp 125 V fast blow fuse. Which doesn't seem like it should be hard to find. Certainly you should use the same or lower amperage fuses than were in there, and it is worth checking to make sure that what the internet thinks is a xbas1a5001 fuse is actually 5 amp 125 volt.
