I have a pair of Klipsch CA8TW outdoor speakers and both tweeters have gone. The tweeters are horn loaded titanium domes with the number 0244-M on the back. Anyone know what would replace these? Googling has come up empty.

THANKS!

any ideas? Would the K-139 parts work with this particular speaker?
I think this is a contractor version and hybrid of the AW-650 and AW-800SW, where it has the 8" woofer, 1" horn tweeter, and line input transformer inside. The cabinet looks a lot like the AW-800SW.

Any help on the tweeter? Can the diaphragms be replaced?

cabinet looks like this:

But it has the tweeter where the blank is shown.

i haven't. i find this forum to usually be a better source of data, in a more timely fashion, than OEM help lines.

but wouldn't hurt.

wondering if these drivers could be used in a more traditional cabinet.... hmmm....

This link says it uses the K-118 tweeter, but then there's no info about that unit anywhere online either.

Here is the response from Klipsch on the driver used for this speaker.

Any idea what models share the K-118 tweeter? Or should I just part these out and use the woofers for a DIY build...?

Thank you for your email and for being a Klipsch brand owner. The former CA-8-TW models are a discontinued model and there are no replacement parts available for this model. Yes, it would have used the former K-118-A tweeter.

The replacement speaker model for the former CA-8-T speaker would be the CA-800-T WHITE (stock number: 097097000001 )

The CA (commercial audio) line is typically sold through our Commercial Audio or Business audio dealers and you would want to go through one of these dealers for replacement speakers.
