I'm working on a Mission Cyrus One Issue 06 at the moment. It came to me with a faulty phono stage that I've addresed so I'm now just making sure the rest of it is ok. It has a strange issue with it's biasing. The manual recommends that the bias voltage across the emitter resistor is 8 to 20mV but on both channels I can't achive more than 0.2mV. The bias pots were glued so I had to replace them to try and alter it but no matter what I do, the voltage stays low. DC offset is fine and the scope shows tocrossover distortion. I'm at a loss to know what to do as I would have thought that the transistor wouldn't have even been turned on at that - but it sounds fine. Any ideas?
