Help with C1100

My current living room system is 2 601s, C1100, D100, and MCT450

I do at least 40 percent of my listening via Sonos streaming and internet radio. I have Sonos hooked up via optical to the D1100 and of course the D1100 to the C1100. Worked and sounded fantastic for months. Suddenly last Friday night Sonos stopped working. The meters of the D1100 move when I try and stream music so its obviously picking up the signal but the C1100 doesn't seem to be reading it from the D1100 because the meters don't move thus no sound!

Help thanks!

Have you tried going direct from the D1100 to your amps? Turn down the volume first, of course.

No! The D1100 is hooked up to my C1100 using the Din proprietary connection and acts just as a DAC. Amazing how well even 44kHz sounds with the D1100. Now I can't get any sound out of my Sonos!!

I understand that. We need to isolate where the problem lies. If the D1100 straight to the amps works, then the problem is with either the connection to the C1100 or the DIN cable could be a problem. If no sound from the D1100 straight to the amps, then the D1100 is obviously exhibiting a problem.

It's not with the connection I don't think. I've tried every possible connection from the D1100 to the C1100. None of them work.

Try the variable outputs from the D1100 to your amps and see if that works. I know it's very easy to get frustrated but it's one more data point.

@ron-c Might be able to help.

If it was me I'd reset the units, generally done by holding the stand-by button in a minute. Then turn it back on and all factory defaults will be reset.

I had a similar problem a week ago with my c1100 and d150. Somehow the output got turned off in the set up menu. Once I selected it back on all was fine. Not sure what triggered it as i was not in that menu at all...

You must use BALANCED 6 of C1100 between the D1100 and C1100 when using the custom cable.

Thanks,
Ron-C
