I have a shorted diode I am trying to identify There are two of them at location D13 and D14. Could someone please tell me what kind of diodes these are? and also a cross reference for a replacement. and one other thing D13 was shorted causing one of the filter caps (C39) to blow when powered on. I don't have a schematic are there any other components I should check?
Thanks Mike

In the absence of a schematic, how are you identifying parts by location? Is the board laid out in grids? This is like taking your car to the dealer and telling the ser. writer it's broke, fix it. (Overly broad and will cause your wallet to be considerably lighter at the end of the day, and the parts changers will be lining up to get their $2.95).

My considered opinion is to STOP WHERE YOU CURRENTLY ARE, then locate a Service manual (even if you have to buy one!!!) before going further. Take pictures of the suspect area, get and copy any writing on the diodes (my suspicion is they are rectifiers, BUT.................!!!!), and post it below.

TRY www.stereomanuals.com. He has VERY high quality repro service manual for the CA-273. Cost about $18.00 or so. Alternately EBAY might have one.
