Help with Counterpoint NP220

New to the club here but not the crazy world of HiFi. Thanks for letting me join.

I'm hopping someone here has solid knowledge on repairing these older Counterpoint amps.

My current amp is an upgraded SA20 to NP220 status. Was recently "tuned"rebiased after all new tubes installed. It's been great for about two months after. Past day or so had a faint high pitch buzz at turn on That faded in 5 seconds untill yesterday. Was playing and then wham, no music and constant loud flutter is all that would come out. One of the many fuses (7) F2 is damaged and seems to be a different amp rating than all the rest.

Does anyone have a diagram for a NP220 so I can at least replace the blown fuse with the correct amperage fuse??
Or
Recommend a service shop that actually knows what to do with tuning this?

I no longer trust the local repair guy.
Thanks for any and all help.

Welcome aboard. Be mindful what I have to say here about Counterpoint, will be a bit brusque. Many of their circuit designs used parts which were not rated to handle the load they got in normal use, and many parts were underspecified and used above their ratings which component parts manufacturers recommended in normal use. So, while Counterpoint gear sounded great, it needed constant repair often. Counterpoint was never reliable for very long. Circuit designs are why. Welcome to AK, some people have suggested sensible components which are less stressed. Consider those modifications if you want to keep your Counterpoint equipment.

Thanks and thanks for your help. I'm looking forward to hearing what recommendations folks have to share.

Welcome! Our "Tube Audio" forum will be your friend. Someone there may have upgrade suggestions for your amp.

Howdy and welcome to AK! You’re in the right place to get your amp back up and running. Enjoy your audio journey!

Welcome to the AK Crew, E9.

Your intro contains more than it should be...ie. was just to be about yourself, eh?

You may have more luck obtaining help/guidance/info if you re-ask in one of the forums that would apply to your amp situation.

Good luck on yer quest.
