Help with Garrard Type A Headshell ?

I just got a Garrard Type A turntable that I would like to use for 78's. The headshell came with a Shure M7DM cartridge. I first tried finding a 78 stylus for the M7DM. Turntableneedles.com lists a N3D type stylus with a 78 3mm tip, but it is not in stock. I've not been able to find one listed anywhere else. Next, I tried swapping in a Grado 78C cartridge I had, but ran into two problems: (1) the mounting screw holes in the headshell do not line up with the mounting holes in the Grado (or presumably of other modern cartridges, and (2) wiring is not obvious, because the headshell wires are black, white, brown, and blue (it is a 4 pin headshell), rather than white-blue-red-green.

Can anyone either suggest a source for 78 stylus for the M7DM, or have experience in mounting a modern cartridge to the headshell?

The Garrard Type A has the standard 1/2" mounting centers and will accept just about any cartridge, not sure about the Grado.

There is a 78 stylus for the Shure M7DM on the bay for $59.00, it's listed as N21D-3 (suffix "3" indicates a 3 mil stylus tip for 78's). For almost the same money you could get a new Shure M78S cartridge for 78's. That cartridge will allow you to easily swap the stylus for a N35X to play lp's.

Regarding the head-shell wiring,

Grey = left channel (I'm assuming this would correspond to the white lead on your particular head-shell)
Blue = left ground
Brown = right channel
Black = right ground
