Help with Hifi Setup - Turntable Isolation

So you advocate hanging an expensive, 22 lb speaker on a 2 cent piece of FLEXIBLE plastic? :eek2:And yes, it may rip a hole in 1/4" drywall if yanked on, will pull out of anything thicker. Toggle bolt need not be snugged tight to wall. Not debating further, not what I'm about!:)
1/4" drywall lol, where do you live? Thinnest I've seen in a real home is 1/2", some are 5/8", but never 1/4" lol. So what you're saying is, as a professional you've worked in houses with 1/4" drywall, no wonder the anchors failed.

And the cost of the anchor is irrelevant, if using just a screw into the stud it's cost is even less.

I've run across it used as a patch, rental properties, hole fixes. Shitty, yes, but they do sell it still, I think. 3/8" not uncommon either.:dunno:
